iTunes 9 update

Hey all – so in case you hadn’t noticed – iTunes 9 broke the programs I had written.  I’ve found the problem, and I’ve updated: itunes tagger, itunes tagger beta, and itunes lyric downloader.  Let me know if you have any problems with any of these!

Lyricwiki and the itunes lyric downloader

Some people have noticed that my lyric downloading program stopped working, and that was due to this announcement by lyricwiki.org.

The good news is that I originally wrote the program without the api service, using simple html calls.  As such, I’ve revised the program so it works once again.  Hopefully it works for you!

Does anybody read the blog part of this blog anyway?

So, it’s been a very long time since I posted anything here.  This is in part because I only really post when I create a new program update.  And I haven’t done this for a very long time.  However, for those who are curious, I have had a fairly consistent amount of traffic to my site via google.  Nothing earth-shattering, but since September ‘08 I’ve had almost 2000 downloads from visitors.  Here’s more stats:

  • 660 downloads of itunes tagger
  • 398 downloads of itunes tagger beta
  • 500 downloads of itunes lyric downloader

And, despite having made no updates for 3 months I’ve actually seen a small increase in traffic over time.  So, perhaps it’s time to continue working on this site.  That said, I’ve been quite busy with work, another blog, and creating a new website for our church using drupal.

I intend to keep this blog primarily dedicated to tech/computers, because that’s what I’m best at.  Hopefully you’ll see some future posts about drupal, itunes programs, and other exciting tech adventures.

Site Downtime

Unfortunately, during a hosting package transfer, things did not go as smoothly as I had anticipated.  It now looks like everything is up and running, though there may be some odd bugs in the site here and there.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
